ENTRY LEVEL ENGINEER - Rapidly growing heavy civil contractor located in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an entry level engineer. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements. Responsibilities:
Perform engineering work in connection with construction projects. Responsibilities may include: Basic construction surveying and layout, field engineering, operation planning, cost control, project scheduling, quantity tracking, material procurement, contract administration, estimating and supervision of field activities. Perform engineering tasks requiring standard techniques and handling minor technical problems as they arise during the project. Job Description:           Assist traffic engineer with a variety of tasks which may include:  data entry, intersection analysis, collection of traffic counts, investigating citizen requests, drafting signing and striping plans, research, and misc. field work.  Student will learn traffic and transportation engineering principles and will interact with civil engineers in other divisions of the Public Works Department.  30-40 hours per week during the summer. CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERN , under direct supervision, will perform elementary civil engineering work in the field or office. We are looking for a Civil Engineering student who possesses good oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and AutoCAD. INTERN GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEER - Cornerstone Geotechnical is a Woodinville based mid-sized geotechnical engineering firm. We provide consulting primarily to residential and commercial developers and have a busy workload that creates the need for summer interns for field soil technician positions to observe various aspects of earthwork construction. The position would primarily involve evaluating the performance of earthwork contractors and also evaluating compaction of fill soil on construction sites. A secondary aspect would be completing laboratory analysis of soil in our laboratory.
